Emergency Operations Plan
The Calhoun County Emergency Operations Plan (EOP) establishes the framework for county response to emergencies and disasters. Developed in accordance with CPG 101 and NIMS/ICS standards, the EOP defines roles, responsibilities, and coordinating structures for all county emergency support functions (ESFs).

Hazard Mitigation Plan
The Calhoun County Hazard Mitigation Plan (HMP) identifies county hazards, assesses risk, and establishes mitigation strategies to reduce long-term vulnerability. The plan is updated on a five-year cycle per 44 CFR Part 201 requirements and must be FEMA-approved to maintain eligibility for Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP) funding.
Current Status
The HMP is currently under FEMA review. Adoption is pending final federal approval. Contact CCEMA for status updates.
Continuity of Operations
CCEMA maintains a Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP) to ensure essential government functions continue during an emergency affecting county facilities or personnel. The COOP identifies essential functions, personnel, alternate facilities, and reconstitution procedures.
Local Emergency Planning Committee
The Calhoun County LEPC, chaired by the Director of Emergency Management, maintains the county Hazardous Materials Emergency Response Plan as required under EPCRA Title III. LEPC meetings are open to the public.
