SMS Notification Program — Terms of Use
Program Description
The CCEMA SMS notification program is intended for EMA personnel, volunteers, partner agencies, county employees, and other authorized participants designated by CCEMA. Residents should register for emergency notifications through Calhoun County CodeRED.
Opt-In and Consent
By providing your mobile number and opting in, you expressly consent to receive recurring automated text messages from CCEMA. You confirm that you are the account holder or have authorization from the account holder to opt in. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of employment, purchasing goods or services, or receiving emergency services.
Message Frequency and Content
Message frequency varies but is expected to be infrequent except during emergencies or significant incidents. CCEMA does not send promotional or commercial messages.
Message and Data Rates
Standard message and data rates from your wireless carrier may apply. CCEMA does not charge a fee for this service.
Opt-Out
To stop receiving messages, reply STOP to any CCEMA text message. You will receive a single confirmation and no further messages will be sent. To re-subscribe, reply START to unblock messages at the carrier level, then opt in again through calhounema.com to be re-added to the distribution list.

Privacy
CCEMA respects your privacy. Mobile numbers collected for the SMS notification program are used solely for emergency management communications and are not sold, rented, or shared with third parties for marketing purposes, except as necessary to operate the messaging service or as required by law. Carrier Disclaimer
Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. CCEMA is not responsible for delivery failures caused by network conditions, carrier restrictions, or device settings.
